Position: Landscape Designer 1-3 years

Bothwell Landscape Studio has established a strong residential landscape architecture practice     and we are expanding the commercial practice. We value the design process and work collaboratively in the office and we value collaboration with all of our project team consultants and contractors.  We focus on quality-built work in Portland, Seattle, SW Washington, and The Gorge, and are seeking opportunities to expand. Our studio is in NE Portland, Just off Sandy Boulevard and NE 22nd St. Our office is a renovated industrial building (bakery) with huge windows providing natural light. The building is a cooperative workspace which includes multiple conference rooms, telephone cubicles, bike storage, elevator and all gender bathrooms. Nearby are great food choices, Providore, Voodoo Donuts, and I-84 access.

We are a fast-paced design office. Our projects are deadline driven and may occasionally require extra commitment.  Our atmosphere is casual, and we appreciate enthusiasm in landscape architecture and in your personal endeavors. We are seeking a motivated designer interested in advancing their career.

We have an opening for a landscape architecture trained professional who has 1-3 years experience. Licensure not required.

Strong Candidates will possess the above qualifications plus experience with:

·         Willing to be trained in aspects of project management including internal and external communication and scheduling with clients, subconsultants and staff.

·         Expertise in Autocad

·         Enthusiastic design interest

·         Hand drawing skills

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Excellent organizational skills

·         Interest to seek knowledge of construction detailing and how things are built

·         Passion, enthusiasm, good listening skills and an ability to work collaboratively

·         Adobe Suites, MS Office and SketchUp are required

·         General office duties

·         Must work in office minimum 4 days per week

Education Requirements: Bachelors and/or master’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.
